Efficacy and functions of Perilla seed

1. Antipyretic effect

Oral administration of perilla leaf decoction and infusion of 2 g/kg to rabbits with fever due to typhoid mixed vaccine has a weak antipyretic effect; administration of perilla extract from North Korea to rabbits with fever caused by warm thorns has a weak antipyretic effect. It also has a weak antipyretic effect.

2. Antibacterial effect

Perilla leaves can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus in vitro.

3. Effect on blood sugar

Oral administration of 0.35 ml/kg of Perilla Oil to rabbits can increase blood sugar. After perilladehyde, the main component of Perilla oil, is made into an oxime, the oral blood sugar-raising effect is stronger than that of perilla oil. Dissolve this oxime in olive oil. Subcutaneous injection also works, but is slower.
